The story of a habitual cat burglar who becomes the prime suspect in a murder case, and her efforts to clear her name. Despite having a job in a book shop and a determination to go straight, the ex-con cannot stop breaking into the homes of the rich. Her habit lands her in deep trouble when a crooked former policeman blackmails her for $20,000 and she stumbles upon a dead body while trying to come up with the money.
