An intimate portrait of mothers, daughters and intergenerational trauma, Jacinta follows a woman in and out of prison as she attempts to break free from an inherited cycle of addiction and incarceration. We begin at the correctional center where Jacinta and her mother Rosemary are confined, both recovering from addiction. On release, Jacinta hopes to reconnect with her own young daughter.
